What this app does. With your explicit consent via Google, this app connects to the Nest thermostat(s) you choose to share, to support an energy-efficiency trial.
Data we access (Google Smart Device Management API, scope
sdm.service): thermostat ambient temperature and humidity, HVAC
operating status, mode, temperature setpoint, and device name. We use this to
measure HVAC runtime and estimate energy use.
Data we store. An OAuth refresh token (so the app can read your thermostat during the trial) and the readings above, on our server at nest.deltaenergyplus.com. We do not sell or share your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Limited Use. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your control. You can revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To request deletion of stored data, email support@deltaenergyplus.com; we delete the refresh token and readings for that home on request and at the end of the trial.
